Older adults can enjoy a wide variety of fun events and activities at Lincoln County Opportunity Company, Inc.’s senior centers. Our seniors are a lively bunch of individuals who participate in games, exercise classes, bingo, and more. If you are looking for a fun group of people to hang out with, play Wii games, celebrate holidays, or join an exercise class, then this is the place you want to be!
Open to All Local Residents 60+
Your local Lincoln or Wayne County, WV, senior center is the best place to make new friends, meet with old friends, and have fun! Recreational activities vary by location and are scheduled according to interest. There is no fee to become a member and activities are open to all local residents aged 60+. FREE transportation is available to and from your local senior center, as well.
Computer Access
Our senior centers may provide access to a computer with internet connection. This is available to all seniors Monday through Friday during senior center hours, where available.
Games
Do you love to play games? We do, too! Whether you’re an old hand or interested in learning how to play, you’re invited to meet up with our welcoming members for some friendly competition at your local senior center. A selection of board, card, and digital games are available at the senior centers. Call or stop into the activities room to learn more.
Puzzles
Keep your brain sharp and your mental focus on-point with an engaging selection of puzzles. Building puzzles together is a great way to meet people and have fun while keeping your mind active. Stop in today to boost your memory, concentration, and imagination.
Wii Games
Our members have a great time playing many games on the Wii, especially Bowling. They are a competitive group, but always welcome new faces. Join in to have some fun and get exercise at the same time.
Bingo
Free Bingo is open to all seniors at no charge. Individuals under age 60 may play for a small fee per card. Proceeds from this event help to purchase additional bingo prizes.
Exercise Classes
We all know how important it is to keep up with an exercise program. Lincoln County Opportunity Company, Inc. provides fitness opportunities that are specifically geared toward older adults. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced individual, you can feel great with an exercise program designed to increase mobility, relieve pain, and fight off the blues. Health-conscious members are invited to access our on-site health maintenance services, as well.
Seasonal Parties
The dedicated staff members at Lincoln County Opportunity Company, Inc. plan various seasonal parties and events throughout the year.
