In-Home Care Alternative for Medically Eligible Seniors
Lincoln County Opportunity Company, Inc. understands that as people age and transition through various degrees of health and well-being they may need more help and support. Our Lighthouse Program provides personal in-home care, mobility, nutrition, and light housekeeping services for seniors who do not qualify for other programs. If you, a loved one, or family member is in need of support in this capacity in Lincoln, Wayne, or Logan County, WV, our dedicated team of caring individuals is standing by ready to help.
Bathing, Grooming, Errands, and Meal Preparation for Seniors
This service is designed to truly take the burden off of family members providing care, as well as the senior in need of care, as it offers solutions, impeccable care, and a range of valuable support in a wide variety of ways. Through this program, your loved one can receive up to sixty (60) hours of service from trained caregivers each month, including help with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene, as well as nutritional support through the preparation of hot, well-balanced meals. In addition, your loved one can receive supportive assistance for light housekeeping tasks, and running of errands, if needed.
Mobility:
Transferring in/out of bed and walking.
Nutrition:
Meal preparation, eating, grocery/pharmacy shopping.
Environment:
Light housecleaning, making/changing bed and laundry
Lighthouse Program Eligibility
To participate in the Lighthouse Program an individual must be a resident of Lincoln, Wayne, or Logan County, WV and be:
- 60+ years of age
- Medically eligible based on a functional evaluation from our registered nurse
- Financially eligible
This state program requires that program participants pay a fee for services that are determined using the current state cost share fee schedule. If you have questions about eligibility, please contact us for answers to any questions you may have.
